Senada Pekarić Muratović is a co-founder of Pegasos Center and one of the key figures behind the development of its programs. With more than ten years of experience working with horses, children, and individuals with developmental challenges, her work forms the foundation of quality and safety at Pegasos.
She began her education in equestrian sports through the “Land of Friendship and Peace” foundation, and later continued her professional development during several years spent in the United States. There, she earned a premium certification as a Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor from PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International), as well as a coaching license in para-equestrian sport through her work with para-dressage riders in Pennsylvania.
Her professional experience includes work and training in several renowned equestrian centers in Pennsylvania, including those associated with trainers such as Buck Davidson and Maria Jakubaskou, where she completed additional training in horse safety and handling through the American Horsemanship Safety Organization.
A significant influence on her approach came from her time at Quest Therapeutic Riding Center, where she further developed her work through natural horsemanship methods. This approach is based on understanding horse behavior and building clear, safe communication between horse and rider. She further expanded her expertise through specialized education in Horse Behaviour and Psychology, as well as Stable and Horse Management.
At Pegasos, Senada is responsible for training horses, as well as the development and supervision of both sports and therapeutic programs. She also leads the education of instructors and volunteers. Her work is particularly focused on preparing horses for working with children and individuals with developmental challenges, where safety, stability, and trust are essential.
Her approach is based on understanding, patience, and natural communication. It is recognized for its creativity, innovation, and the energy she brings into her work with both horses and people. This combination of knowledge and approach allows Pegasos to develop programs that are safe, high-quality, and sustainable in the long term.
